Translational Medicine: Doing the Right Research Right
What: in collaboration with Utrecht University and the University Medical Center Utrecht, Apollo Utrecht organizes an international summer school on translational medicine. The summer school (1,5 ECTS) will take place in Utrecht from 9 July – 13 July 2018 (5 days).
Application deadline updated: 1 May, 2018.
Topic: this Summerschool tackles the intrinsic difficulties of effective translational medicine in rare and orphan diseases and is meant for early stage researchers with an interest in this field. With this Summer School course you will not only obtain insight in how science really works, but more importantly, you will acquire knowledge on how to be a successful translational researcher yourself. This course is specifically not about learning how to ‘play the game’, but about understanding that there is a game going on, what the rules of the game are and to be able to transcend it.
Audience: we target advanced master level and early PhD: (future) clinical researchers; either basic scientists with an interest in translation from bed to bed side, or clinicians with interest in research.
Scholarships: a limited number of scholarships is available for students who are from an institution that is part of the network of the Eureka Institute and/or students who take part in the Apollo Network.
More information: all regarding the Summer School will be updated on the Utrecht Summer School website.
